Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Troy, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Michigan run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

We ordered Mirchi Pakora, which was delicious. Their green chutney was equally tasty. We also tried Gobi Manchurian, which was good as well. For our sides, we had Naan and Kadhai Paneer. While the Naan was good, the Kadhai Paneer was not that impressive. I wouldn’t recommend it, but you can try other dishes like Biryani, which are quite solid.

I always try different appetizers when i come here. Personal favorite is the house pepper soup and karapoddi gobi for something crunchy and spicy. Friend got Amathaka chicken and she said that was good. It is also spicy but not as crunchy so it paired well.

The food is nice. I feel the appetisers are better than the main course. The garlic naan was good. The Kadhai chicken was appetising, and just that, lol. If you’re from north India, and you’re expecting a certain flavour and texture, you should pass. Last time we had chicken vindaloo and that too was passable, lol. The tandoori chicken and chicken 65 were really, really good. The drinks are good too, both virgin and non- virgin. Now, let’s come to the service. The guy who sat us on the table was really nice. The one who served us was very kind. The service was overall very slow. I feel their serving utensils are also not according to the portion size, although the portion size is perfect! The food was spilling. The serving spoons were missing. Would love to come back and hope the feedback is considered since it has come from other reviewers as well. (:

I had visited this restaurant earlier and really liked it, so I came back with high expectations but this visit was a complete letdown. Egg Biryani-Just average, nothing special. Vijayawada Chicken Biryani-Very disappointing this was the main reason I visited, and it turned out to be the worst dish of the night. Prawns-Decent but didn’t stand out just average. Appetizers-Didn’t impress at all. Overall, the food lacked flavor and consistency compared to my previous visit. It honestly felt like a completely different place this time. Not sure what went wrong, but this visit was disappointing and not worth it.πŸ‘ŽπŸ»πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Absolutely loved our experience here! The food is authentic, flavorful, and well presented, but the real star of the show is the Goat Mandi. It was perfectly cooked, with fragrant and flavorful rice and incredibly tender, well-spiced meat that just fell apart. The portion size was generous and great for sharing. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they really care about quality and consistency. If you’re craving rich, aromatic Indian flavors, especially a standout Mandi, this place is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!
